about
We were married in August of 2007, and since our lives dovetail so nicely now it makes sense to write about the events of our lives in the same place. With that in mind, we started this blog hoping to keep our friends and family up to date with our mind-numbing ongoings and maybe even serve as encouragement to others. Leah maintains her own blog at leahklug.wordpress.com for issues mostly relating to ministry, global presence and social justice.
As a little background for those of you who don’t know us well, Leah was born in a tiny logging town, Forks, on the Washington Peninsula and grew up there and in the Alaskan wilderness. She emigrated to the big city to attend the University of Washington, and has stayed in Seattle ever since. For the past several years she has been a pastor at Quest Church, where she met Alan. She deeply enjoys reading, coffee and cooking among myraid interests. She will complete her Master in Divinity degree at Seattle University in the summer of 2008, and is on schedule to be ordained in the Evangelical Covenant Church in the spring of 2009!
Alan grew up in Bellevue, just east of Seattle, before moving to California to study aeronautical engineering at Stanford University. Upon graduation he returned to Seattle and now works at a small aeronautical engineering firm, Analytical Methods, Inc. He is a passionate cyclist and music enthusiast. When not on his bike he can be found working on the house or bumbling around the kitchen with Leah.
